YouTube Videos: Learning what works and what not to do

One of my webinars this week I had to use the back up audio from the conference system we were using as well as the 2 audios I recorded with Audio Acrobat on 2 phone lines.

I wanted to take the combine 3 audio files and create a separate 4th file to use in the video production.

So I went to to my Second favorite search engine for a solution. And here’s the 2 minute video I ended up with if you would like to see it.

It helped me figure out what I wanted to learn. But as you can see for yourself if you like, it isn’t easy to follow.

Here’s what I think could be done to improve it for everyone to truly get the best benefit from this video.

This video has the number ONE error I see in videos all the time. Poor Audio. Speak up or use Audacity to increase the volume/audio of your tutorial. I had to come back to this later and use my headphones which was helpful, but without headphones, I couldn’t keep my interest long enough

The other thing I would recommend is breaking this video up into 4 different videos. They could even link to one another on YouTube and and be searched simply on the particular task being performed.

TechSmith, Adobe, your MAC

Really quickly today… What do you use for polishing up your videos?

I currently use SnagIt and Camtasia for the most part right now. However, it is in my plans to get get a MAC later this year at which time I will have access to a new plethora of tools. I have also been considering Adobe After Effects for a PC.

I’m not sure what we’re going to get because I have so much to learn yet as well.

What do you use?

Can you tell me what you like most about it?

Would you recommend it?

Audio Acrobat is the Bomb

The tool I use close to ever day is Audio Acrobat This makes it my favorite tool and one I couldn’t live without.

I dial in to my own Audio Acrobat account it when talking with a client, recording webinars, for back up audio, training my VA, and probably more that I’m not thinking of right now. Audio Acrobat is where I have my Client Testimonial Line set up at.. (I should probably share that number with my clients huh?! lol)

Recording audio via your computer, telephone, or even for hosting videos on a sales page (here is an example of one by Tina Forsyth). Audio Acrobat has great tracking statistics for metrics. I can’t say enough good things about them.
